Spinal Rehabilitation

Complete Spinal Rehab Center

Spinal Rehabilitation involves a program of specifically designed exercises that the patient is to perform under the guidance of the doctor or his rehab assistant which aid in the restoration of spinal balance, proprioception, biomechanical equilibrium and kinematic fluidity. In a nutshell, spinal rehabilitation helps to restore normal spinal (biomechanical) function.

Electrodiagnosis (EMG)

Electrodiagnosis is an advanced neurological technique used to determine if the patient has nerve damage either centrally (as in radiculopathy, etc) or peripherally (as in carpal tunnel syndrome, etc). It is non painful, takes about 90 minutes to perform and is covered by most group health insurances including Workers' Compensation and Auto Insurance policies.

Manipulation Under Anesthesia (MUA)

Manipulation Under Anesthesia uses a combination of specific short-lever spinal manipulations, passive stretches and specific articular and postural kinesthetic maneuvers in order to break up fibrous adhesions and scar tissue around the spine and surrounding tissue. The procedure is very safe and is typically utilized on patients with chronic neck and back pain, involves twilight sedation and is performed in a surgery center by licensed chiropractic and osteopathic physicians with specialized training and certification specifically for the procedure. A team approach is required to have a safe and successful outcome.
